Many of the
things that we commonly see around us today have a very old origin. Well. And
yes are on that list. The types of candies that are known to us today might be endless,
however, the ones that were known back decades or centuries ago remain an
inseparable part of our childhood.

Pop rock dips were the ones introduced here. This one particularly
attracted a lot of crowds because it came with a tattoo. It didn't come in any
particular flavour though. It was just pure sugar. Another candy that was very
popular during this year was bottlecaps. It used to look like powdered candies.
And, they tasted exactly like cola.
1974:- Next in the 1970s came Gobstopper.
This became more popular because it was like one of those candies that would
last forever in your mouth.
1980:-
One of the most popular candies of this time was push pop. The packaging
was fun. And what more you could eat the same candy more than once. Yes, that's
true all you needed to do was just roll the candy back down and open the lid
whenever you want to eat the candy again.
1982:- Next big thing that came after push
pop was ring pops. This one proved that both the flavours and packaging in the
candy business were evolving. The push pop candy looked like rings and you could
wear it. Kids would collect all of the different kinds of ring pops.
1983:- This one saw the introduction of
caramel candy. The most popular one was caramel apple cow tail candy. This one
was a soft candy. The outer area was caramel with the inside being ten apple
flavour. It tastes exactly like a caramel apple with cream in the centre.
